Easter Treasure Hunt

Easter eggs are in the shops and hot cross buns have been available for months. A scary thought that Christmas was oh so long ago and Easter is just around the corner.

Here at The Sale Fairy we love Easter and all the chocolate eating that is involved. We remember as kids our parents organising Easter treasure hunts with the neighbourhood children. It was so much fun that we thought we'd share some ideas of what you'll need to organise your very own hunt for you and your family.

  • Bags or baskets for the kids to carry their Easter treats in.
  • Easter eggs, toys, stickers for the kids to find.
  • Get the kids to make some invites in the shape of the Easter bunny or an Easter egg, and turn it into a bigger hunt with the neighbourhood kids or all your family and friends children. Have a BBQ with drinks and nibbles for the adults while the kids are on their hunt. Maybe one of the adults can dress up as the Easter bunny.
  • Set up different hunts according to age groups making it easier for the younger ones and a little trickier for the older ones. Get some of the adults to supervise the hunt.

Other fun things to do over Easter:

  • Have you got your FRENZ free range eggs yet to go in the competition for the best painted eggs? If not, grab yourself some and get the children decorating! (See our competition page) A good tip so the eggs last and don’t go rotten, is to pierce a hole in the top and the bottom and blow the contents of the egg out. Once this is done, let the eggs dry before you start to decorate.  Make sure you use the contents of the eggs to do some Easter baking which you could give away as little treats.
  • Get the kids involved with making some bunny ears or bunny masks.
  • Print off some Easter colouring pages from the internet for some colouring in fun.
  • Most importantly, eat plenty of chocolate and sweet treats!

Happy hunting and happy Easter!
